Frigiliana is located 50 km east of Malaga in southern Spain.
The village is 330 meters above sea level and 5 km from the sea.
The village has been awarded the title of the most beautiful and
best maintained Andalusian village several times and the antique
village is a conservation area.
The population is approx. 2.500 of which the majority of residents
are Spanish.
The village is unique with its whitewashed houses and cobbled streets.
In the antique village you can only drive in the main street. The
other streets is cobbled streets and traffic-free.Frigiliana also
has a modern part where you can park just outside your door.
The nearest beach and tourist city is Nerja which is known for
the ”Balcon de Europa” and the spectacular drip stone
caves. Along the coastline you will find lovely large beaches.
In Frigiliana’s local shops you can buy all your everyday
necessities and there is a large choice of restaurant serving famous
Spanish tapas.
Frigiliana nestles in the Almijara mountains, an area of outstanding
natural beauty where there are many opportunities for trekking.
You can also take the car on an adventure along the small mountainroads
through magnificent olive groves, almond orchards and wineyards
to small villages where time seems to have stood still for centuries.
